Tonight I have done the unthinkable – fully shaved for the first time in about 12 or 13 years!!
It’s part of the Movember fundraiser, but also a chance to see what’s under the growth. I have started a flickr page to chart the progress, and you can find the photos under kakanuikid. It feels really weird and it’s the first time Kathy has seen me without a beard – ever – so she keeps staring and saying things like – ‘who’s that guy’ and ‘you look like a different person’…
There’s a few of us at work that are doing it. Some are mirgins (moustache virgins – my word!) some have been there before because they would “look like porn stars” if they grew moes… We won’t name names though. It’s going to be fun, so check back to check progress. From tomorrow, you’ll be able to sponsor me!

The Flight of the Conchords are up to the fourth episode of the HBO series. The first was made available online and there are also some behind the scenes style podcasts available. The song above is very funny and is available on the HBO site. Well worth a look, if that’s what you’re in to.I don’t know if this site will serve the video well or not – if not head over to HBO.HINT 1: right-click and set the quality to low if your connection speed is limited.HINT 2: if the video starts playing immediately, pause it and let the whole thing load before playing – it’s slow, but better watchingHBO have also made the fourth episode available in its entirety to those with the patience to download it. Can only hope the series comes to NZ, it’s refreshingly good. I’ve liked them ever since I heard Business Time…Their official site gives you an idea of their style. You can get tabs or visit them in MySpace.
Not so long ago, if you told your mates you’d been experimenting with light and time exposure photography, it would have been a very short conversation. But call it light graffiti and share some photos and it’s a different tin of biscuits, or kettle of fish, or bucket of whitebait.
