One-click addiction

One search (electric vehicles | Addictomatic) and I was hooked. Addictomatic is a customisable search / aggregator that returns some fantastic results. You can move stuff around and bookmark it, and the layout stays the same between visits. It’s like a news only version of netvibes or iGoogle, but its a nice way to get some different search results in a single place.
It doesn’t have RSS yet, but it will sooner or later. The Mac News was also quite impressive. Cheers to JB for the link – it’s a ripper.

If that’s what you’re in to

The Flight of the Conchords are up to the fourth episode of the HBO series. The first was made available online and there are also some behind the scenes style podcasts available. The song above is very funny and is available on the HBO site. Well worth a look, if that’s what you’re in to.I don’t know if this site will serve the video well or not – if not head over to HBO.HINT 1: right-click and set the quality to low if your connection speed is limited.HINT 2: if the video starts playing immediately, pause it and let the whole thing load before playing – it’s slow, but better watchingHBO have also made the fourth episode available in its entirety to those with the patience to download it. Can only hope the series comes to NZ, it’s refreshingly good. I’ve liked them ever since I heard Business Time…Their official site gives you an idea of their style. You can get tabs or visit them in MySpace.

TV, but not as we know it…

Considering being an organ donor? why not pitch this idea to the networks? Yes, contestants battle it out for the right to win a kidney – text your votes in now… 0900 left, or 0900 right…

Meanwhile, in Australia a Big Brother contestant’s father has died (he had been terminally ill for some time) but she still doesn’t know. The company who makes Big Brother has been sold, and apparently they also make Deal or No Deal – which will hit our screens soon.

Meanwhile Balls of Steel, which shows things like a guy taking a paint stripping hot air gun to the chest, or another guy getting his arse belt-sanded, is probably the most jaw-dropping show I’ve seen for a while. It’s a step up (in pain at least) from Distraction, a nod towards the Japanese game shows – which are a world of their own’… have a look on youtube for japanese game shows, you’ll see what I mean.

Dancing with cigars

Ahh, another season… ooh look, time to do the dishes.
Or check out mediawatch’s latest podcast – interesting look at plans to outsource subbing at APN. Hard to believe that outsourcing will lead to less mistakes…

Wahawaha…or a walk on the mild side

This is kind of like when I first got the old CK500 when I was a lad…
My first listener said it sounded like a kid did it, so that’s probably about right.

That CK was so cool – double tape decks so you could add one track to another and then build up another track. Built in drums and AM FM radio, and stereo… whahwaha

So that’s the name of this track. wahawaha.
And just for nostalgia’s sake, here’s a pic of a CK500
Casio CK-500 - pure 80s goodness
